Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM)

Work in Progress

Survey Development and Analyses

I have analyzed various surveys and written in-depth reports on the results. These include surveys on basic needs, enrollment decisions, and mental health. I have also developed and conducted surveys on internal institutional issues, such as to evaluate events or programs.

Presentations that highlight relevant information have been presented to various groups since most decision-makers do not need the level of detail in those reports. These survey reports have resulted in data-driven initiatives to better the student experience. For more information on this, please contact me.

The Influence of Motivational Orientations and Feedback on Emotions in Intergroup Interactions

This project focuses on how individuals’ approach and avoidance motivational orientations influence the way they perceive interactions that go well or poorly differently, influencing their emotions and attitudes toward future interactions. Thus far, our results have demonstrated that people approach and avoid these interactions differently with far-reaching consequences.

With Us or Against Us: Regulating Others’ Group Emotions

This project investigates the hedonic and instrumental goals of group members as they try to regulate the emotions of ingroup and outgroup members in various situations. Over three studies, we propose that the goals for regulating others’ group-based emotions depend on the group membership of the regulator and the target, as well as the instrumentality of the emotion being regulated.
